Our program
Three pillars, one standard in every market
The same discipline applies whether you collect in Brazil, pay out in Mexico or convert in Colombia.
Compliance
Licensed, registered or supervised in 18 countries, with controls mapped to local rules and updated as regulation changes.
AML & Fraud Prevention
Risk-based AML/CFT controls aligned with FATF and GAFILAT standards, programs tailored by industry and alerts on unusual activity.
KYC & Integration
Local identity and business verification, regulation-compliant onboarding and APIs to validate documents and bank accounts.
Controls
What happens behind every approval
FATF and GAFILAT alignment
Our controls are aligned with the FATF Recommendations and the standards of GAFILAT, the Financial Action Task Force of Latin America.
Risk-based approach
Every partner is risk-rated at onboarding and reviewed periodically. Higher risk means enhanced due diligence.
Sanctions screening
Partners, their beneficial owners and relevant transaction parties are screened against international and local sanctions lists.
Know your business (KYB)
We verify legal existence, ownership and control, management, business model and — where required — licenses.
Transaction monitoring
Transactions are monitored for unusual patterns, and every payout passes a compliance review before funds are sent.
Reporting to authorities
Where required, suspicious activity is reported to the competent financial intelligence unit, such as the UIF in Argentina or the UAF in Panama.
Onboarding
How onboarding works
The same risk-based path for every partner, before any production credential is issued.
- 01
Commercial conversation
We learn your business model, target markets, payment flows and expected volumes.
- 02
Compliance review
Due diligence (DD) or enhanced due diligence (EDD), depending on your risk profile.
- 03
Approval and agreement
Once compliance approves, we sign the agreement and issue your Stage (sandbox) credentials.
- 04
Integration and go-live
After Stage testing, a security review and business verification, you receive production credentials.
Industry programs
AML programs tailored to how your industry moves money
Tailored AML programs by industry. FATF/GAFILAT-aligned controls. A remittance corridor, a marketplace and a digital-goods platform carry different risks. We calibrate due diligence, limits and monitoring rules to your business model instead of applying one template to everyone.
- Remittances and wallets: sender and beneficiary screening on every corridor
- Marketplaces and payment platforms: visibility over the sellers and sub-merchants you onboard
- Payroll and global workforce: beneficiary validation before funds leave
- Digital goods, streaming and gaming: velocity and account-level monitoring

Frequently asked questions
Why do you need so much information during onboarding?
As a licensed, registered or supervised company, we are required to know our customers. The information lets us approve your business, set appropriate limits and keep your flows running without interruptions later.
How long does the compliance review take?
It depends on your business model, your markets and how complete your documentation is. Sending complete documents upfront is the fastest path.
Do you screen payout beneficiaries?
Every payout passes through a compliance review before funds are locked and sent, in addition to your own approval rules such as double-signature.
How do you control stablecoin withdrawals?
Stablecoin withdrawals (Wire Out in USDC or USDT on Ethereum and Tron) can only go to wallet addresses that you allow-list and our compliance team approves.
Where can I read your AML policy?
A public summary is on our AML and KYC policy page, and the full policies are published as PDFs in our documentation portal.
How do I report a compliance or ethics concern?
Use our independent ethics channel. For questions about your account, contact our 24/7 support team at support@localpayment.com.
