The challenge

Why the last mile is the hardest mile

What gets in the way

  • A partner per corridorEach destination country means another payout partner, another contract and another file format.
  • Pre-funding ties up cashInternational wires take days to arrive, and every corridor needs its own buffer.
  • Wrong details, returned fundsA mistyped account or alias means a return, a support call and an unhappy sender.
  • Rates that moveQuoting a sender one rate and paying out at another eats into your margin.

How Localpayment solves it

  • One API, 14 payout countriesBank transfers over local clearing rails and wallet payouts through a single integration.
  • Fund in fiat or stablecoinsWire USD, or send USDC or USDT on Ethereum or Tron — stablecoin deposits are credited automatically, usually within 2–10 minutes of confirmation.
  • Validate before you sendVerify payout aliases and validate bank accounts first, and handle returns and recalls through the API.
  • Lock the rateQuote the conversion and lock it with a quote token before you confirm the transfer to your sender.

Industry FAQ

Where is this solution available?

Coverage varies by product, payment method and market. Check Coverage & Network for the current details.

How fast is delivery?

On real-time rails — Pix, SPEI, COELSA, TEF, CCE, Bre-B and SINPE Móvil — payouts confirm in seconds, 24/7. Other rails usually settle same day or next business day, depending on the country and cut-off times.

Can I pre-fund with stablecoins?

Yes. You can fund your account with USDC or USDT on Ethereum and Tron. Deposits are credited automatically, usually 2–10 minutes after on-chain confirmation, and withdrawals go only to allow-listed wallets.

When does currency conversion happen?

Conversion runs within each country’s local market hours. You can quote a rate and lock it with a quote token before confirming the payout, so the amount you promise the sender is the amount the beneficiary receives.

What if the beneficiary details are wrong?

Verify the payout alias or validate the bank account before sending. If a payout is returned, you are notified by webhook and the funds are credited back to your balance; recalls can be requested through the API.

Do you offer cash pickup?

No. Payouts are delivered electronically to bank accounts and wallets, including direct wallet delivery to Yape in Bolivia and SINPE Móvil in Costa Rica.

What compliance checks apply to payouts?

Due diligence at onboarding and compliance review on the payout flow, under the licenses listed per country. Access to the API and the Business Portal is protected with MFA, role-based permissions and IP allow-listing, and payouts can require a double signature.

Can I send payouts in batches?

Yes. Upload or submit payout batches, approve them with a double signature if your policy requires it, and track each item by your own external ID through signed webhooks and the Business Portal.
