Reporting & reconciliation

Turn transactions into a usable financial record.

Business Portal reports with XLS export, balance and activity APIs and signed webhooks give finance one itemized record of every pay-in, payout and conversion — in every country you operate in.

Why it matters

One source of truth for finance and operations

Collections, payouts, conversions and fees across countries land in the same reports and APIs, with the identifiers your systems already use.

  • Itemized per transaction

Each transaction carries its externalId, internalId, status, amounts and fees — and, where a conversion applies, the FX rate used.

  • Every country, one format

The same reports and endpoints for every market and rail, so adding a country doesn’t add a new reconciliation process.

  • Balances you can check

See balance and projected balance per account, and reconcile movements against them with the balance-reconciliation API.

  • Find any transaction

Look up a transaction by externalId, check its status, or list and filter transactions with pagination.

  • Webhooks in real time

HMAC-signed notifications for pay-ins, virtual accounts, payouts, currency exchange and wire in or out, retried when your endpoint doesn’t answer 200.

  • Scheduled delivery

Schedule Balance, FIDES, Details, Activity or Global Consolidation reports by email or SFTP — daily, weekly or monthly, in XLS or CSV.

How it works

From transaction to closed books

  1. Tag every transaction

Send your own unique externalId with each pay-in, payout or conversion. Localpayment returns an internalId for the same record.

  2. Get notified

A signed webhook reports each status change. Your system verifies the signature, answers 200 and updates the order.

  3. Match balances

Compare activity and balances per account through the APIs or the Business Portal reports, itemized per transaction and currency.

  4. Close and export

Reconcile with the balance-reconciliation API and export the reports to XLS for your ERP and auditors.

Webhooks

Know the moment a status changes

Webhooks are configured per client in the Business Portal: an HTTPS URL, one country or all of them, an account and optional custom headers. Every payload is signed, so you can trust what arrives.

  • Signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the X-Signature header
  • Events for pay-ins, virtual accounts, subscriptions, payouts, currency exchange, wire in and wire out
  • Retried with exponential backoff when your endpoint doesn’t answer 200
  • Deduplicate on internalId or externalId

For developers

Reconciliation you can automate

Pull balances, activity and transactions over the same REST API you use for payments, authenticated with a Bearer token. Test every call on Stage before going live.

  • GET /api/accounts/{accountNumber}/balance, /activity and /balance-reconciliation
  • GET /api/transactions/{externalId} and /status
  • GET /api/transactions/list/filter, with pagination

Frequently asked questions

Which reports are available in the Business Portal?

Balance, projected balance, activity, FIDES and transaction detail. Most reports export to XLS; large exports are queued in Historical reports, and notification reports send them by email or SFTP on a schedule.

Can I reconcile through the API instead?

Yes. Balance, activity and balance-reconciliation endpoints work per account, and you can get a transaction, check its status, or list and filter transactions with pagination.

How do I match a payment to an order in my system?

Send your own unique externalId when you create the transaction. It comes back in webhooks, reports and API responses, next to the internalId that Localpayment assigns.

Are fees and FX itemized?

Yes. Transaction data includes the amount, the currency and the fees and, when a conversion applies, the FX rate and the local-currency amount.

What happens if my webhook endpoint is down?

Deliveries are retried with exponential backoff when your endpoint doesn’t answer 200. You can also query the transaction status API at any time.

Do reports work the same in every country?

Yes. The same reports, endpoints and identifiers apply in every country and rail you operate in, so a new market doesn’t mean a new reconciliation process.

Can I pull reports automatically every day?

Yes. The activity and balance-reconciliation endpoints accept date ranges, so a scheduled job can fetch yesterday’s movements and post them to your ledger.

How far back can I query transactions?

Use date filters and pagination in the list-transactions API. In the Business Portal, exports above 15,000 rows are queued and downloaded from Historical reports.
