The challenge

Where SaaS revenue leaks in Latin America — and how to plug it

What gets in the way

  • Billing in USD on international cardsCustomers see cross-border fees and FX on every invoice, and some local cards are not enabled for international charges.
  • Involuntary churnA card expires or is reissued, the renewal fails, and a happy customer quietly lapses.
  • Invoices paid by transferEnterprise customers pay by bank transfer, and finance matches each deposit to an invoice by hand.
  • Month-end in spreadsheetsCollections across markets and currencies make the close slow and error-prone.

How Localpayment solves it

  • Local currency, local methodsCharge in local currency — cards in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, Pix in Brazil, PSE in Colombia or bank transfer — and settle in USD.
  • Subscriptions with retriesScheduled or on-demand card billing in Colombia, Mexico and Peru, with retry rules you configure.
  • A virtual account per customerEach B2B customer pays into its own account number, so every transfer is matched to the right invoice.
  • Reconciliation built inReports with XLS export, balance and reconciliation APIs, and a webhook for every status change.

Flows

Three ways SaaS customers pay

Self-serve plans, enterprise invoices and the month-end close — on one integration.

Self-serve plans on local cards

Customers subscribe with a local card. Each renewal is a standard pay-in with its own webhook, so your app knows at once whether to extend access or start dunning.

  • Scheduled and on-demand billing models
  • Retries with configurable repetitions and intervals
  • Update or cancel subscriptions via API

Local pricing

Industry FAQ

Where is this solution available?

Coverage varies by product, payment method and market. Check Coverage & Network for the current details.

Can I charge subscriptions in local currency?

Yes. Card subscriptions are available in Colombia, Mexico and Peru, with scheduled or on-demand charges and configurable retries.

How do enterprise customers pay invoices?

By bank transfer to a dedicated virtual account (CLABE, CVU, CCI, TEF or Pix key). Each transfer is attributed to that customer automatically and you receive a signed webhook for every deposit.

Can I keep my prices in USD?

Yes. You can create a charge in USD and the customer pays the equivalent in local currency. Funds are settled to your Localpayment account, usually in USD.

What happens when a renewal fails?

The charge is retried according to the repetitions and interval you configure. If every retry fails, the subscription is canceled with a specific status so you can reach out to the customer.

How does reconciliation work?

Every transaction carries your own external ID. You get a signed webhook on each status change and can pull balance, activity and reconciliation data by API, or export reports from the Business Portal.

Can I collect in USD inside Latin America?

In select markets you can issue USD virtual accounts (SPID in Mexico, CCI USD in Peru, IBAN USD in Costa Rica) so customers pay in dollars locally.

How fast can we go live?

You receive Stage (sandbox) credentials at the start of the partnership and go live in weeks. New markets are enabled by configuration, with no reintegration.

Recover failed charges with configurable retries.

Local billing, invoice collection and reconciliation through one API — with Stage credentials from the start of the partnership.
