Industry FAQ

Where is this solution available?

Coverage varies by product, payment method and market. Check Coverage & Network for the current details.

Can I pay sellers in different countries from one balance?

Yes. You fund your Localpayment account and send payouts in local currencies to bank accounts and wallets. Where a conversion is involved, you can quote the rate and lock it with a quote token before you pay, within local market hours.

How do split payouts work?

Your platform calculates each seller’s share and its own commission. You then pay each share by API or in a batch from the Business Portal, with approvals and proof of payment. Talk to us about the model that fits your marketplace.

Which card features are available?

We accept Visa and Mastercard in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, plus American Express in Argentina and American Express and Diners Club in Colombia. Installments, 3D Secure and subscriptions are available in Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

How do installments work for the buyer?

In Colombia, Mexico and Peru the buyer chooses the number of installments at checkout and the card issuer finances them. You create the payin with the same call as any other card payment, and 3D Secure applies where available.

How do buyers pay in Brazil?

With Pix, by QR code or Copia e Cola, or by transfer to a virtual account with a Pix key. Both confirm in seconds, 24/7.

How do refunds work?

You can refund card, virtual-account and APM payments from the API or the Business Portal and download proof of the refund. Card chargebacks are managed with evidence upload.

Can sellers receive money in a wallet?

Yes. Direct wallet payouts are available to Yape in Bolivia, SINPE Móvil in Costa Rica and CCE wallets in Peru. Wallets can also be credited by bank transfer in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador and Mexico.
