About
About Localpayment
What does Localpayment do?
Localpayment is payment infrastructure for Latin America. Through one API and the Business Portal, businesses collect local payments (pay-ins), send payouts, issue virtual accounts and convert currency across the region.
How is Localpayment related to Aleph Group?
Localpayment is part of Aleph Group, which pairs payments with digital media for platforms and brands entering emerging markets. Figures such as 26,000+ advertisers, 55+ platforms and 130+ markets describe Aleph Group as a whole, not Localpayment on its own.
Is Localpayment a payment orchestrator?
Both. We orchestrate payments through one API, and we do it on top of a licensed, registered or supervised presence in 18 countries and local rails in 14, instead of only routing to other providers.
Who uses Localpayment?
Businesses that collect from or pay people across Latin America: ecommerce and marketplaces, digital goods and gaming, fintechs and wallets, remittance companies, SaaS, travel, mobility, payroll and advertising platforms. The solutions pages show typical flows for each.
Which products does Localpayment offer?
Pay-ins with local payment methods and cards, virtual accounts, recurring payments, hosted checkout, payouts, bill pay, FX and treasury, a global treasury account, stablecoin rails, smart routing, and reporting and reconciliation — all through one API and the Business Portal.
Is Localpayment a bank?
No. Localpayment is a payments provider. In each country we hold the license, registration or supervision that local regulation requires for payments — a payment institution in Brazil, a money transmitter in Mexico and so on — and the licenses page lists the exact status for all 18 countries.
Does Localpayment work with startups or low-volume businesses?
The enterprise platform is quoted business by business, so volume is one input among several. Small and mid-size businesses can also request early access to Localpayment for SMBs, a self-serve business account. Tell us about your flows and we will point you to the right option.
Onboarding
Onboarding and business verification (KYB)
How does onboarding work?
It starts with a commercial conversation about your markets and flows. Then come the compliance review (due diligence, or enhanced due diligence when required), compliance approval, signing the agreement, technical integration and go-live.
When do we get API credentials?
Stage (sandbox) credentials are issued at the start of the partnership, so your team can build and test while the compliance review runs. Production credentials follow completed Stage testing, a security review and business verification (KYB).
How long does it take to go live?
You can go live in weeks. The exact timeline depends on your use case, the markets you start with and when the compliance review and Stage testing are completed.
What does business verification (KYB) cover?
KYB verifies your company’s identity, ownership structure, directors and beneficial owners. Our compliance team shares the exact document list for your country and industry during onboarding.
Can we add countries later?
Yes. New markets are enabled by configuration on the same integration, with no reintegration. A new country or payment method may require an additional compliance review.
What should we prepare before we start?
Your company documents for business verification (KYB), the countries and payment methods you want to start with, the server IP addresses to allow-list, and a technical contact. Our team confirms the exact list during onboarding.
Which documents are required for business verification?
The list depends on your business type, the countries and payment methods you choose. It usually includes incorporation documents, the ownership chart, identification of directors and beneficial owners, proof of address and a description of your activity. Our compliance team sends you a tailored checklist.
Does sandbox access mean we are approved to go live?
No. Stage credentials let your team build and test from day one, but production access follows completed Stage testing, a security review and business verification (KYB).
Should our developers start with the sandbox or should we talk to sales first?
Both, in parallel. Sales scopes your countries, methods and flows while your developers test in Stage with the credentials issued at the start of the partnership. That way integration and compliance finish at about the same time.
Can we start with one country and expand later?
Yes. Many businesses go live in one market and add the rest by configuration, with no reintegration. A new country or payment method may require an additional compliance review.
Are there restricted or prohibited industries?
Yes. As a regulated provider we maintain a list of restricted activities under our AML policy, and some verticals require enhanced due diligence. Tell our sales team about your business model early and we will confirm whether and how we can support it.
Can a company incorporated outside Latin America use Localpayment?
Yes. Many of our clients are incorporated in the United States, Europe or Asia and collect and pay in Latin America through our local licenses. Requirements such as local tax registration vary by country and product, and our team confirms them during onboarding.
Coverage
Coverage and payment methods
Where does Localpayment operate?
We have a licensed, registered or supervised presence in 18 countries, with local payment rails in 14. Payment methods, currencies and license details vary by country; the coverage and licenses pages list them one by one.
Which payment methods can my customers use?
It depends on the country: bank payments such as Pix in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico, Bre-B and PSE in Colombia and Debin in Argentina; QR payments in Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala and Peru; virtual accounts in seven countries; and cards in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The payment methods directory lists every method by country.
Do you accept cards in Brazil?
No. In Brazil, customers pay with Pix — by QR code or Copia e Cola — or by transfer to a virtual account identified by a Pix key. Cards are available in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
Which card brands do you support?
Visa and Mastercard in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, plus American Express, Diners Club, Naranja and Cabal in Argentina and American Express and Diners Club in Colombia. 3D Secure, installments and subscriptions are available in Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
Do I need a separate integration for each country?
No. You integrate once and add markets by configuration, with no reintegration. A new country or payment method may require an additional compliance review.
How do I check whether a country or payment method is covered?
The coverage pages list every country with its license status, currencies and rails, and the payment methods directory lists every method by country. Live availability of each country’s rails is published at status.localpayment.com.
Do you support cash payments?
Our catalog centers on bank payments, QR, virtual accounts and cards — the methods most people in the region use online today. If your use case needs a cash option in a specific country, talk to sales.
Do you accept digital wallets?
For collections, we offer QR and transfer methods rather than wallets: interoperable QR and CVU transfers in Argentina, Pix in Brazil, QR in Bolivia and Peru, and QR Fri and Wallet Fri in Guatemala. For payouts, wallets are reachable in 9 countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico and Peru): with direct wallet integration in Bolivia, Costa Rica and Peru, and through bank rails in the rest.
Do you support real-time payments?
Yes. Pix in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico, Bre-B in Colombia, COELSA transfers in Argentina, TEF in Chile, CCE in Peru and SINPE Móvil in Costa Rica confirm in seconds, 24/7, within each rail’s limits.
How often do you add new countries and methods?
Coverage grows continuously, but we only publish what is live today. If you need a market or method that is not listed, tell sales: it helps us prioritize and we can share what we are able to support for your case.
Pay-ins
Collecting payments
How do I know a payment was completed?
Card authorizations return in real time. Bank transfers, QR payments and virtual-account payments are asynchronous: the final status arrives by an HMAC-signed webhook, and you can also query GET /api/transactions/{externalId}/status.
Can I charge customers on a recurring basis?
Yes. Card subscriptions and installments are available in Colombia, Mexico and Peru, with configurable retries.
Should I use the hosted checkout or integrate the API directly?
WebCheckout is the fastest route: customers are redirected to a hosted page and card data never touches your servers. The API gives you full control over the experience, and Smart Fields sits in between by embedding hosted card fields in your own checkout. The integrations page compares effort and PCI scope.
Can I send payment links?
Yes. Payment links let you charge a customer without any integration — share the link by email, chat or invoice and the customer pays on a hosted page with the methods enabled for that country.
Do you support installments?
Yes, for credit cards in local currency in Colombia, Mexico and Peru, along with 3D Secure and subscriptions. The installment options shown to the customer depend on the issuer and the plan you configure.
What approval rates can I expect?
Approval rates above 99%. Approvals depend on the method and the issuer, but local acquiring, local rails and smart routing avoid the declines that cross-border card processing typically causes.
Are there transaction limits?
Yes. Limits depend on the payment method, local regulation, your verification level and ongoing risk assessment. You receive your default limits during onboarding and can request changes later.
What happens if a customer never completes a bank transfer or QR payment?
The transaction stays pending until it expires. You never receive funds without a confirmation, and the final status arrives by signed webhook either way, so your order can be released or canceled automatically.
Payouts
Sending payouts
Which countries support payouts?
Bank-transfer payouts run over local rails in 14 countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay and Peru.
How fast do payouts arrive?
On real-time rails such as Pix, SPEI, COELSA, TEF, CCE, Bre-B and SINPE Móvil, payouts confirm in seconds, 24/7, within each rail’s limits. Batch rails such as ACH or TED credit the same day or the next business day, depending on cut-off times.
Can I pay out to digital wallets?
Yes. Wallet payouts reach 9 countries. Direct wallet integration is available in Bolivia, Costa Rica (SINPE Móvil) and Peru, and bank-transfer payouts can reach wallets in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador and Mexico.
Can a payout require a second approval?
Yes. With double signature, one user creates a payout and a different user authorizes it — using requireAuth in the API or the approval queue in the Business Portal.
How do I prove a payout was made?
Proof of payment is available for each payout through the API and the Business Portal, and every status change — from Pending Authorization to Completed — arrives by signed webhook.
How do I send many payouts at once?
Through the API, one request per payout from your own systems, or by uploading a batch file in the Business Portal. Both routes support double-signature approval and report each payout’s status by webhook.
Which beneficiary data do I need to send a payout?
The beneficiary’s name, tax ID (CPF or CNPJ, CUIT, RFC, NIT and so on) and bank account identifier — CBU or CVU, CLABE, Pix key, CCI, IBAN or the local equivalent — plus the fields local regulation requires in that country. The API validates formats before the payout is sent.
What happens if a payout is rejected or returned?
If validation or the bank rejects it before it is sent, you receive a Rejected status with the reason. On batch rails a beneficiary bank can return a payment days later; the funds are then credited back to your balance and you are notified by webhook.
Can I recall a payout sent to the wrong account?
Payouts on real-time rails are final once completed. For other rails a recall is a manual, best-effort process handled with support, and it depends on the receiving bank. Validating beneficiary data and using double signature are the best protection.
Do payouts require pre-funding?
Yes. Payouts are debited from your Localpayment balance, which you fund with a Wire In in hard currency or stablecoins or with the proceeds of your pay-ins, depending on your agreement.
Who can I pay with payouts?
Individuals and companies: suppliers, sellers, creators, drivers and couriers, gig workers, remittance beneficiaries and wallet users withdrawing their balance. Payouts are always in local currency over local rails.
Virtual accounts
Virtual accounts
What is a virtual account?
A unique local account number or key — CVU, CLABE, CCI, IBAN, a Pix key or a Bre-B key — assigned to a customer, order or invoice. Incoming transfers are matched automatically and confirmed by webhook. Virtual accounts are available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru.
In whose name are virtual accounts created?
It varies by country. Virtual accounts can be set up for local and foreign businesses in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru, under country-specific ownership structures. Our team confirms the configuration for each market during onboarding.
What is the difference between a virtual account and my Localpayment account?
Your Localpayment account is your treasury account: balances, funding, FX and payouts. A virtual account is a collection account you create on demand to receive customer transfers. Funds received in virtual accounts settle into your Localpayment account.
Can I move funds from one virtual account to another, or across countries?
No. Virtual accounts only receive funds. Money settles into your Localpayment account, and from there you pay third parties with payouts or withdraw with a Wire Out.
Which identifier do my customers see?
The local one: a CVU in Argentina, a Pix key in Brazil, a Bre-B key in Colombia, an IBAN in Costa Rica, a CLABE in Mexico and a CCI in Peru. Customers pay with a normal transfer from their bank or wallet app.
Can I create one virtual account per customer?
Yes. Create accounts on demand through the API and assign one to each customer, order or invoice. Incoming transfers are matched automatically and confirmed by webhook, so reconciliation needs no manual work.
Can I collect in US dollars through a virtual account?
In Costa Rica and Peru virtual accounts can be denominated in USD as well as the local currency. In the other countries they operate in local currency, and you can convert balances to hard currency with FX.
FX & treasury
Currencies, FX and treasury
Which currencies can I convert to?
Local currencies convert into hard currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD and CHF, plus the stablecoins USDC and USDT. Conversions run from local to hard currency.
When does currency conversion run?
Within each local market’s hours, which vary by country — for example, 10:00–12:30 in Brazil and 08:00–15:30 in Mexico, local time. Conversion is not available around the clock; the docs list the hours for each country.
Can I lock an exchange rate?
Yes. Request a quote and you receive a quote token (exchangeRateToken) with an expiration date. Operations submitted with that token before it expires use the locked rate.
How do I fund my account?
With a Wire In: a bank transfer that you notify through the API or the Business Portal, or USDC or USDT on Ethereum or Tron, which are detected and credited automatically, usually 2–10 minutes after on-chain confirmation.
How do I withdraw funds?
With a Wire Out to your own external bank account or to an allow-listed USDC or USDT wallet. Wire Outs never go to third parties; payments to third parties use payouts.
Can my customers pay or get paid in crypto?
No. Stablecoins are a treasury tool: USDC and USDT fund your business account and can be withdrawn to allow-listed wallets. We do not offer crypto on-ramps or off-ramps for consumers.
How is my exchange rate determined?
Request a quote through the API or the Business Portal and you receive the rate for that moment, including the margin set in your agreement, with a quote token that locks it until it expires. The applied rate is recorded on each conversion.
Can I hold balances in several currencies?
Yes. Your account keeps a separate balance per currency — local currencies where you collect, plus the hard currencies and stablecoins you convert to or fund with — and the Business Portal shows activity by currency.
What is the difference between a Wire In and a pay-in?
A pay-in is a payment from your customer. A Wire In is your own money: a transfer or a USDC or USDT deposit that funds your Localpayment balance, typically before sending payouts.
How long does a Wire Out take?
A Wire Out in fiat follows the processing time of the receiving bank and the rail used; stablecoin withdrawals are confirmed on-chain. You can follow each Wire Out in the Business Portal and by webhook.
Can I convert hard currency into local currency?
FX conversions run from local to hard currency. To pay locally, fund your account in hard currency or stablecoins and payouts are executed in local currency from your balance under your agreement.
Settlement
Settlement, reporting and reconciliation
When do funds reach my balance?
Real-time rails such as Pix or SPEI confirm payments in seconds, 24/7. Making funds available in your balance follows the settlement terms of your agreement, so we do not promise same-day settlement. Ask sales about the schedule for your countries.
How do I reconcile payments?
Send your externalId on every transaction, receive a signed webhook for each status change, and query the transaction status endpoint when you need to check. The Business Portal and the API also give you your transaction data for reconciliation.
What if my server misses a webhook?
Deliveries without a 200 response are retried with exponential backoff, and you can always query GET /api/transactions/{externalId}/status to confirm the current state.
Which reports are available?
Transaction, settlement and balance reports in the Business Portal, with filters and exports, and the same data through the API. Each record carries your externalId so it maps to your own systems.
In which currency am I settled?
In the local currency you collected, or in a hard currency after conversion — USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF, USDC or USDT — according to your agreement.
What are cut-off times and why do they matter?
Batch rails such as ACH or TED and FX desks operate within business hours. A payout or conversion requested after the cut-off is processed on the next business window. Real-time rails confirm 24/7 and have no cut-off.
Which statuses can a transaction have?
Every transaction moves through documented statuses from creation to a final state such as Completed, Rejected or Refunded; payouts under double signature start at Pending Authorization. Each change is pushed by signed webhook, and the docs list the states per product.
Disputes
Refunds, chargebacks and disputes
Do you support refunds and chargebacks?
Yes. Refunds are available for card payments, virtual accounts and alternative payment methods. For card chargebacks, you can upload evidence for each dispute through the API or the Business Portal.
How long does a refund take to reach the customer?
It depends on the method. Card refunds appear on the statement once the issuer posts them; refunds of bank transfers, QR and virtual-account payments are sent to the payer’s account over the local rail. Each refund has its own status and webhook.
Can I refund partially?
Refund rules depend on the payment method. The refunds section of the docs states, for each method, whether partial refunds are allowed and within which time window.
How does a chargeback work?
The cardholder disputes a charge with the issuer, the amount is reversed and you are notified in the Business Portal and by webhook. You can upload evidence through the API or the portal within the deadline set by the card scheme; the issuer decides the outcome.
Can a bank transfer or Pix payment be charged back?
Bank payments do not have the card chargeback mechanism: once a transfer is confirmed, the funds are yours. If you need to return money, you issue a refund.
How can I reduce chargebacks and fraud?
Offer local bank methods, enable 3D Secure on cards, keep proof of delivery, and respond to disputes with evidence on time. Our platform adds fraud controls such as velocity checks and risk scoring.
What is the difference between a refund, a return and a chargeback?
A refund is a return of funds you initiate. A return is a payout sent back by the beneficiary’s bank, for example because the account was closed. A chargeback is a card payment reversed by the issuer at the cardholder’s request.
Security
Security and compliance
Is Localpayment regulated?
Yes. We publish our license, registration or supervision status country by country — for example, Payment Institution licensed by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and Money Transmitter registered with the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) in Mexico; the licenses page shows the exact status for each of the 18.
Which certifications does Localpayment hold?
Localpayment is validated at PCI DSS v4.0.1 and has a SOC 2 Type II report. It is also certified to ISO 27001. You can request the related reports through the Trust Center.
How is data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256, with key rotation through AWS KMS. Access is protected with multi-factor authentication and role-based access control.
Which security controls can my team configure?
IP allow-listing for API calls, HMAC-signed webhooks, custom roles and permissions in the Business Portal, and double-signature approval for payouts.
How do I report a vulnerability?
Email cybersecurity@localpayment.com with a description of the issue and the steps to reproduce it. The same address reaches our data protection team.
Where can I find security documentation?
The Trust Center (trust.localpayment.com) gathers security documentation and compliance resources, and the security page on this site summarizes our controls.
Does Localpayment run AML and sanctions controls?
Yes. As a regulated payments provider, we apply anti-money-laundering and compliance controls under our licenses, including due diligence at onboarding and ongoing monitoring. Our AML policy is published in the legal section of this site.
Who verifies my end customers (KYC)?
It depends on the product, the country and local regulation. For some flows you collect the data our rails require; for others verification is part of the service. Your compliance contact confirms what applies to your use case during onboarding.
What is my PCI DSS scope?
With WebCheckout, payment links or Smart Fields, card data is captured on our PCI DSS infrastructure and your scope stays minimal. If you send raw card data to the API, your systems must hold their own PCI DSS validation.
Where is data hosted?
On AWS infrastructure, encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256, with keys managed and rotated through AWS KMS.
Do you run independent audits and penetration tests?
Yes. Our PCI DSS v4.0.1 validation, SOC 2 Type II report and ISO 27001 certification are issued by independent assessors, and we run regular penetration tests and security reviews.
How do you handle personal data?
According to our privacy policy and the data-protection laws of each country where we operate. We collect only the data needed to process payments and meet regulation. Questions reach our data protection team at cybersecurity@localpayment.com.
How can I obtain your SOC 2 report or other security documents?
Through the Trust Center at trust.localpayment.com, where you can request reports and certificates. Our team handles the request and the non-disclosure terms that apply.
Integration
Integration, API and webhooks
How does API authentication work?
POST /api/token/ exchanges your API username and password for an access token valid for 5 minutes and a refresh token valid for 24 hours. Send the access token as Authorization: Bearer on every call, from server-side code only, and allow-list your server IPs in the Business Portal.
Do you have SDKs?
There are no official server SDKs: the REST API works with any HTTP client, and the docs include a Postman collection. For card capture in the browser, the Smart Fields JavaScript SDK provides hosted card fields.
How do I avoid duplicate transactions?
Send your own unique externalId with every transaction. Reusing it returns HTTP 409 Conflict instead of creating a second transaction, so retrying after a timeout is safe.
How do webhooks work?
You configure an HTTPS endpoint in the Business Portal. Each notification is signed with HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body, sent in the x-Signature header. Return 200 quickly and process asynchronously; deliveries without a 200 are retried with exponential backoff.
Is there a sandbox?
Yes. Stage (api.stage.localpayment.com) mirrors production without real money, with test cards, a virtual-account payment simulator and payout test scenarios.
Can AI coding assistants read your docs?
Yes. A public, read-only MCP server at docs.localpayment.com/mcp and an llms.txt index let your assistant work from the real API contract. Review generated code like any other code before it ships.
Which integration options are available?
A direct REST API, a hosted WebCheckout page, payment links, an embedded iframe, the Smart Fields JavaScript SDK for card capture, batch uploads in the Business Portal and an MCP server for AI coding tools. The integrations page compares effort and PCI scope for each.
What is the Business Portal?
The web console for your team: monitor transactions, upload batch payouts, configure webhooks and IP allow-listing, manage users with custom roles and permissions, and approve payouts under double signature.
How does the API report errors?
With standard HTTP status codes — 4xx for request errors and 5xx for server errors — plus an error code and message, and field-level details for validation errors. Log the error code with your externalId to speed up support.
Is there a Postman collection?
Yes. The docs include a Postman collection with Stage and Production environments, example requests for every endpoint and authentication helpers.
Are there API rate limits?
Yes. The API limits request volume to protect the service. When you receive a limit response, back off exponentially instead of retrying immediately, and rely on webhooks rather than polling for status.
How do I move from Stage to Production?
Once Stage testing, the security review and KYB are complete, you receive production credentials. Switch the base URL to api.v3.localpayment.com, allow-list your production IPs and configure your production webhook endpoint. The API contract is the same.
How do I verify a webhook signature?
Compute HMAC-SHA256 over the raw request body with your webhook secret and compare it, using a constant-time comparison, with the hex value in the x-Signature header. Reject the notification if they differ.
Can one integration serve several merchants or business units?
Yes. Platforms, marketplaces and PSPs operate several merchants or entities through one integration. How accounts, balances and settlements are organized depends on your model — talk to sales about the setup.
Pricing
Pricing and contracts
How much does Localpayment cost?
We quote each business based on its countries, payment methods and volumes instead of publishing a single price list, and your quote lists every fee that applies. The pricing page explains how fees work.
How do I get a quote?
Tell our sales team which countries, payment methods and flows you need, and your expected volumes. Your quote lists every fee that applies, so there are no surprises.
What affects the fees I pay?
The countries you operate in, the payment methods and rails you use, the type of flow (pay-in, payout or FX) and your volumes. Because each business is quoted individually, there is no single public price list.
Can we test before committing to volume?
Yes. Stage (sandbox) credentials are issued at the start of the partnership, and Stage mirrors production without real money, so your team can build and test while the compliance review runs.
Are there setup or monthly fees?
Your quote lists every fee that applies to your countries, methods and flows, so nothing is hidden. We do not publish a price list; ask sales for a proposal.
Is the FX margin disclosed?
Yes. The margin is set in your agreement and included in every quote, so you can see the applied rate before you lock it.
Do fees vary by country or payment method?
Yes. Each rail and card scheme has its own cost structure, so fees are set per country, method and flow in your agreement.
Support
Support
How do I contact support?
Customer support is available 24/7 at support@localpayment.com. Security reports go to cybersecurity@localpayment.com, and customers in Brazil can reach our ombudsman at ouvidoria@localpayment.com.
Where can I check service status?
status.localpayment.com shows the live availability of pay-in, payout and authentication services and of each country’s rails, plus incident history.
How can I file a complaint or raise an ethics concern?
Write to support@localpayment.com. Customers in Brazil can reach our ombudsman at ouvidoria@localpayment.com, and anyone can use the ethics channel at https://www.contatoseguro.com.br/en/localpayment. The complaints policy is published in the legal section.
I am a consumer and see Localpayment on my statement. What should I do?
Localpayment processes payments for businesses, so the charge comes from a merchant you bought from. Contact that merchant first. If you cannot identify it, write to support@localpayment.com with the date and amount and we will help.
Do you provide support during integration?
Yes. A technical team supports your integration from a kickoff call to go-live, including integration reviews and testing support, and support@localpayment.com answers 24/7.
How do I report an incident?
Check status.localpayment.com for live availability and incident history, and write to support@localpayment.com with your externalIds and timestamps. Customer support answers 24/7.
Where is the documentation?
docs.localpayment.com has the integration guides and the API reference. The developer hub on this site links the quickstart, sandbox, webhooks and AI tools pages.
SMB
Localpayment for SMBs
Is there an offer for small and mid-size businesses?
Yes, in early access. Localpayment for SMBs is a self-serve business account: digital verification, local collection accounts, and balances and activity by currency in one dashboard. Request access and our team will contact you.
Who can apply for early access?
Small and mid-size businesses that can complete our digital verification. During early access we onboard a limited set of markets, so tell us where your company is incorporated when you apply.
How does verification work?
It is fully digital. A guided business verification covers your company details, documents, directors and beneficial owners, and business activity. It takes about 15–20 minutes, saves your progress automatically, and you can follow the review status in the app.
Can I send payouts or convert currency with the SMB account?
Not during early access: the SMB account covers verification, local collection accounts, balances and activity. If you need payouts or FX now, our enterprise platform offers them — talk to our team.
How much does the SMB account cost?
Pricing is shared directly with each business during early access, before onboarding.
How is the SMB account different from the enterprise platform?
The SMB account is self-serve: digital verification, local collection accounts and a dashboard with balances and activity. The enterprise platform adds the API, payouts, FX and treasury and multi-country operations, with a commercial agreement per business.
